Purpose of processing

Your email address is used for two things and nothing else: to manage and deliver your subscription to the dontforgetto.dev newsletter, and — if you asked to be told when a catalogue topic opens — to write to you once, the day it opens.

Legal basis

Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). For the newsletter, you give it by confirming through the link we email you — double opt-in. For a topic notification, you give it by submitting that form; nothing is sent until the topic opens.

Recipients and processors

Two processors handle your address: Resend (email delivery, EU region — Ireland) and Neon (database hosting, EU region — Frankfurt). The site itself is served by Vercel. Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement; the European Commission's standard contractual clauses cover any support access from outside the EEA. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising.

Retention

Your newsletter address is kept until you unsubscribe. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that deletes your record immediately, not just flags it. Unconfirmed signups are deleted at launch. A topic notification is kept until that topic opens and you have been written to, or until you ask us to delete it.

Anti-abuse records

Each signup attempt is logged with a timestamp and a keyed, one-way hash of the IP address it came from — never the address itself, and never linked to an email. These records exist only to enforce a limit of a few signups per hour, and are deleted at launch.

Your rights

You can access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and request portability, by writing to info@dontforgetto.dev. You can also unsubscribe at any time with one click.

Complaints

If you believe your data isn't being handled properly, write to info@dontforgetto.dev first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) at any time.
